We’ve been cleaning out our closets this week . . . which means there are loads of goodies for you on eBay!

No junk, only the best stuff: a boyfriend blazer by Chloe, dresses by the likes of Vena Cava and Calypso, vintage accessories, and even unworn Marais laceup heels! Take a peek at a few of my favorites below.

Here’s hoping they all find happy homes and second lives (or nineteenth, in the case of that rocking vintage leopard collar).  There are even a few things for the gents.  Happy shopping!

Bazaar / Garance Doré / Color Me Nana / Vanessa Jackman /  Bazaar / lookbook.nu Earlier this week the not-at-all-hysterical-but-very-stylish Najeema of A Stylized Hysteria posted about her tomato red cords (pictured against turquoise doors, which, as you know, is right up my favorite color combo alley). As we’ve come to expect, her styling is […]

Snow? Slush? Put them out of your mind and turn your sights on sunnier times to come, when you’ll want to gird your loins with something light and bright like these sarongs by Kikoy4Kenya. Not only are they right on the tribal trend, but every purchase funds one day of school for a child in […]

Closet Tip: Use Corkboard

April 1, 2011 Fashion
Thumbnail image for Closet Tip: Use Corkboard

Magazines are rife with pictures of luxurious closets: jewel-box rooms with reams of gilt-edged drawers, and enough crystal dripping from the ceiling to blind a Baccarat salesperson.  Everything’s put away and sparkly. Where’s the utilitarianism?  I’d rather (oh yes, we’re talking dream closet here, a fantasy rivaled only by lottery-wining reveries) have spacious hanging racks […]

{Vintage wool boy’s blazer, $30 from thebetties} Are you jonesing for a shrunken blazer? If you’re stocking up on flares like me, you may find yourself pushing the voluminous boyfriend styles to the back of the closet, and opting for a leaner style.  It’s time to drop the “friend” and go straight for the “boy.” […]

Oliver People’s Lipsofire, $310 I’m a few days late on this reveal, but as promised here’s a peek at the sunglasses The Mr. surprised me with last week.  Large, in charge, and very round, which I never thought I’d like but now totally dig. (Small round glasses still throw me for a loop, but oversize […]

Matchbook Issue 2: Spring On

March 2, 2011 Fashion

The second issue of Matchbook Magazine dropped into our digital laps yesterday, promising to put a spring in our steps and delivering quite handily.  The classics with a twist keep on coming. I’m dying for the Old Navy striped tee, and Chance’s wide-striped nautical tank, pages 80 and 22 respectively.  My mother will be pleased […]

Howsabout a little Monday morning quarterbacking on Oscar fashion?  (Hey, it’s still morning where I am. Vegas.) I caught only a smidge of the red carpet and the show’s opening before dinner last night.  While compiling favorites, the color trends all but leapt off the screen. LILAC  LOVELIES Cate Blanchett in Givenchy / Mila […]

Would You, Could You Rent a Dress?

{We’re headed to Vegas.  I could use a little of Ginger’s sparkle.} Would you ever rent a dress? With every passing year I’m less inclined towards disposable fashion, but at times the urge to make a quick hit purchase still rears its ugly head.  Case in point: The Mr. and I have a trip to […]

A Flare to Remember

J Brand Babe in Starless wash, $187   After years of stuffing ourselves into skinny jeans, flares are back in a big way this season.  Hallelujah!  I’ve invested in J Brand’s inky Babe bells for a slimming dark look, and Citizen of Humanity’s Hutton style in Paradise for a laid-back weekend vibe.   Citizens of […]
