A note before we get to this week’s Flotsam: If you’re a to-do list person, head over to The Roving Home for a list as charming as its author. Confession: I always start my lists with “Make List,” and I’m not opposed to including items like “Eat Breakfast” and “Get Dressed.” Checking off items immediately gives my day momentum. Why not feel ahead of the game?
What’s your to-do list philosophy? Love them? Hate them? Fill them with improbable tasks that roll over to the next day?
P.S. Jump on over Facebook and Twitter for more 5thjoy, if you like.

I am SO a To-Do list person! And I just looked at those hair tutorials and love them. I’m not even getting married…I just love doing hair (: Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the side chignon…so pretty! I always wondered how that was done…
And the tin foil and baking soda polishing tip is great! …thank you!
What a nice surprise to click on Friday Flotsam and see your nod to my chaotic to-do list. Thank you so much! And I’m totally with you about sneaking in the no-brainer tasks just to have something to cross off the list. Also: I’d never read Bright Bazaar and I loved the color cocktail feature – thanks for this tip, among others.
As always – FF is one of the highlights of my Friday.
p.s. Are you going to share more vintage Dock Square slides bit by bit? It was great to see that photo. That’s one way to deal with parking in Rockport: rip out the traffic island and let cars park in the middle of the street like they apparently did back in (endlessly revered ) good old days.
